CityMed Medical Centre is a mixed billing GP medical Centre, offering complete care for your whole family.
Please read below for our doctors’ fees.
We understand that knowing about fees is important to you as a patient of this medical centre, and that you see value in what we provide as a General Practice. Our fees allow us to provide our patients with highly skilled staff that deliver an accessible, affordable and quality service. We see the value to you in promoting preventative medicine, and not just providing a reactive service where you may feel rushed, and the doctor feels rushed
We are a private billing GP clinic. For clients 16 years and older, fees are payable at the time of consultation, while children 15 years and under are directly billed to Medicare where eligible.
There may be additional costs for specific procedures performed, such as cryotherapy, ECG or minor surgery. Please ask our reception staff for the respective fees.
We bulk bill children till 16 years old And 65 years old and over with a valid pension or concession card during weekdays till 6PM. All must have a valid Australian Medicare card. All consultations are private on Saturdays, Sundays and weekdays after 6PM.
Mental health plans and care plans are bulk billed.
All TAC and Workcover will need to be paid upfront and claimed back by you from TAC/Employer.
We know your time is valuable, the same as our doctors’ time. Thus we require at least 2 hours’ notice if you cannot keep your appointment so that we can give your appointment time to another patient who can attend.
A cancellation fee of $50 for standard GP consultation including telehealth consultations or $75 for specialized services applies to non-attendance or late cancellations (less than 2 hours prior to your appointment). The fee is not rebatable through Medicare.
If there are any circumstances beyond your control which prevent you from cancelling your appointment with sufficient notice you should let us know as soon as possible.
Private patients’ Medicare rebates can be refunded directly to a savings or cheque account, on the day of their consultation. Accounts can be paid with a credit card, but the refund must be paid into a savings or chequing account.
Payment is made at the time of consultation. For your convenience, we accept cash, EFTPOS and credit card. Your rebate will be electronically transferred from Medicare, directly back into your bank account. Please ask our staff for more information on this. In some consultations, there may be additional fees for procedures such as Iron infusion, Minor surgeries, Implant insertions or removals. Please ask our reception staff for the respective fees.
