At CityMed Medical Centre, we provide medical termination of pregnancy (MTP) services using the MS 2-Step medication. This treatment is available for pregnancies up to nine weeks gestation and is managed by our qualified GPs.

What is Medical Termination of Pregnancy?

Medical termination involves using medication to end an early pregnancy. The MS 2-Step treatment consists of two medications: 

Mifepristone: Blocks the hormone progesterone needed to maintain the pregnancy.
Misoprostol: Causes the uterus to contract and expel the pregnancy.

This method is a safe and effective option for terminating pregnancies up to 63 days LMP (Last Menstrual Period).

Our Services Include: 

Consultations: Three appointments are required:

Initial Consultation: Discuss options and confirm eligibility.
Follow-Up Consultation: Review and prescribe medication.
Post-Treatment Consultation: Monitor progress and provide support.

Tele-Termination: Video consultations are available for home abortion services, ensuring access regardless of your location in Australia.

Confidential and Supportive Care: All consultations are confidential, non-directional, and non-judgmental.

Anti-D Immunoglobulin: For patients with negative blood types, we arrange Anti-D injections through the Red Cross Blood Bank Service or a local hospital.

Only accredited doctors can prescribe MS 2-Step. You may need to verify which pharmacies can dispense this medication.
