Immunisation

Whether you’re preparing for international travel, protecting your little one from whooping cough, or benefiting from the seasonal flu shot, vaccines are essential for keeping us all safe.

Immunisation

Our clinic stocks all childhood immunisations listed on the government-funded National Immunisation Program (NIP) and most vaccines required for travel or work. Our doctors and nurses also have some tricks to help ease the experience for children (and adults) who might be wary of needles.

In addition to NIP vaccines, we offer private, non-government-funded vaccines such as those for:
  • Chickenpox
  • Hepatitis A and B
  • Measles
  • Mumps
  • Meningococcal disease
  • Typhoid
  • Whooping cough
  • Rubella
For any vaccines we don’t stock, your GP will provide a prescription, and our nurse can administer the vaccine once it’s filled at your local pharmacy.

What to Expect from Vaccination Appointments

Here’s what you can generally expect during your vaccination appointments:
  • Flu Shots: Available for all eligible individuals.
  • Baby’s 6-Week Check-Up and Immunisations: A comprehensive check-up for your baby, including immunisation discussions and the first scheduled vaccines.
  • Children’s Immunisation Appointments: For vaccines on the NIP. If your child has been vaccinated overseas, our team can help upload their immunisation history into the Australian Immunisation Register and calculate a catch-up schedule.
  • Travel, Work, and Private Vaccine Appointments: Available upon request.
  • Shingles Vaccine (Shingrix): Available by appointment. Our team can check your eligibility under the NIP.

After receiving any vaccine, a 15-minute observation period is required in the clinic to monitor for any rare allergic reactions. Your GP will also update your vaccination history in the Australian Immunisation Register on the same day.
