Whether you’re planning for your first baby or expanding your family, preparing for a new arrival is a special time filled with excitement and anticipation. At CityMed Medical Centre, we’re here to support you on this journey, starting with a comprehensive pre-pregnancy check to help you achieve a healthy and happy pregnancy.

Pre-Pregnancy Check

Why a Pre-Conception Visit Matters?

A pre-conception visit is an important step in preparing for a pregnancy. During this consultation, your GP will work with you to develop a personalised pregnancy plan that aligns with your health and lifestyle. From predicting ovulation to discussing safe vaccinations, we’re here to support you from the very beginning.

Pre-Pregnancy and Pregnancy Care Services

  1. Pre-Pregnancy Assessment

Planning to become pregnant? Our pre-pregnancy assessment involves a thorough consultation where your GP will discuss your medical and family history, conduct relevant investigations, perform a physical examination, and advise you on necessary supplements. We’ll also explore the pregnancy care options available to you.

  2. Pre-Pregnancy Fertility Consultation

If you’re concerned about fertility, this consultation focuses on issues related to conceiving. Whether you’re considering pregnancy or currently trying to conceive, we provide guidance and support to address any fertility concerns you may have.

  3. Early Pregnancy Consultation (Before 20 Weeks)

During the early stages of pregnancy, this consultation offers a comprehensive discussion about your pregnancy, antenatal care options, and medical history. It includes an examination and referrals for any necessary investigations. Follow-up consultations will review your progress, discuss results, and provide additional referrals if needed.

  4. 6-Week Postnatal Check

Six weeks after the birth of your baby, this visit allows you to discuss and review your labor and delivery experience. Your GP will conduct a comprehensive check on your physical and emotional well-being during the first six weeks of new parenthood.

  5. 6-Week Newborn Check

This visit includes a review of your baby’s progress in the first six weeks of life, with a full physical examination and a discussion about immunisation planning. We can coordinate this appointment with your baby’s first scheduled immunisations.
